Just signed the petition in the unread section on the board to keep fabric at Walmart. I live in Clanton, Alabama and the closest store other then Wal-Mart that sell fabric is in Birm. which is 48 miles one way for me, or Mont. which is about 45. Our Walmart still has fabric and seems to be getting more. I emailed the store 2 weeks ago a recieved the generic reply about the wall of life-whatever- which means precuts.

I am one unhappy person with Walmart same as many of you. I live less then 1/2 mile from the local store but I shop there about once every four months. I can't even buy a spool of thread as what they have are goofy colors. I need colors to match what I am sewing. There are no other quilt shops nor any other place to buy fabric so have to go out of town. This old lady (80) is not a happy camper. I buy my groceries at Krogers and they are always busy and I can get a carry out where at Walmart they look at you like you are from another planet if you request a carry out...

The quilt shop I buy from has also raised the prices $1 a yard. Hobby Lobby has raised their broadcloth a $1 a yard.
