Approximately 36 inch of macrame twine, empty thread spool at one end and old speaker magnet tied to other. Remembered that one yesterday when I spilled pins for hundredth time. Saves a lot of bending over picking up a couple or a whole bunch of pins.

I have not read through all the replies so apologize if this is duplicated

Saral Transfer paper and a stylus commonly used in folk art (tole) painting to mark quilt tops with quilting designs.

Snap clips for hair like these http://compare.ebay.com/like/3801192..._309572&UA=%3F*I8&GUID=c41f549f12e0a5a8f1c123d1fff46035&itemid=380119224431&ff4=263602_309572 to hold binding in place while I hand sew to the back, works much better than pins.

I use my scrapbooking glue dots on the back of my rulers to them from sliding when cutting. Old pill bottles for used machine needles.

Combination of flannel backed vinyl tablecloth cover and folding cardboard cutting board. I use small office binding clips to hold the tablecloth on to the cutting board flannel side out to use for placing blocks on. I have also seen that you can get thin long pieces of wood to clip on to it to keep it open, but I haven't tried it myself.

Anyone mentioned large or x-large binding clips to hold quilt backing tight to tables for layering?

Dressmaker chalk to mark for quilting.

Deli wax paper from big box store for sewing blocks on.

Combo of crushed newspaper, 2 sprays of Febreeze and a day of sun to finally de-must my FW carrier!

Soft make-up bag to carry tools to classes.

Cookie cutters to trace around for quilting designs.
