I usually don't care for kaleidoscope, they seem too busy for me. I really like your quilt. I can see each of your blocks and that's what I like. BrendaK

    Default Yellow in quilts

I always like to see a little yellow in a quilt but when I try to use it in mine, the fabric feels like a hot potato and I cannot bring myself to cut and use it.

So, please help me love yellow. Show me your quilts! The one quilt, I made 2 twin size quilts just alike with 4 coordinating pillowcases for a couple in an assisted living facility. The one hanging over a rack with another quilt is a queen size and I have it on my bed.

Thanks! My favorite color is blue.
I have made several quilts with yellow in therm. The first is a WV baby quilt. It is really more gold than yellow. the second a blue and yellow queen size quilt I have on my bed. I made a baby quilt with the leftover fabrics but can't locate the picture now. The third is a double wedding ring I made for my sister who got married at the age of 70 after 31 years as a widow and the last is a picture of two twin size quilts and 4 pillowcase that coordinate with them. I especially love blue and yellow quilts.

The first two are soooooo bright and cheery! They're all beautiful but would have to say the second one is my favorite.

I love yellow in my pieced tops especially darker bright yellows. It makes it pop.

I like to use light to medium yellows in some quilts but when it gets to be darker yellows I just don't like the look.

This is more of a gold than yellow. The second one is a birthday card that I made for a friend and I have another one that I don't have on this computer so will add tomorrow.
