Yes Barb that is made with 2.5" squares. I found this pattern that looks interesting to make with the birthday candies.

Yup, they are about 98% swap candies. I only had to cut maybe another 50 of specific colors to have enough. Still have quite a stack of candies for another project.

I've been saving up 1.5" squares - trying to keep them as unique as possible so every time I cut into a new fabric, I cut a square for my collection. I started this several years ago, and at the time was also cutting 2.5" squares. Had a friend putting together top with only 2.5" squares so I gave her what I'd collected up to that point, and stopped cutting that size.

I made a Bonnie Hunter scrap quilt that was all 1.5" squares - it was king size so that took 14,400 pieces. At that size, there is more fabric in the seam allowances than the face of the quilt.

The directions for "webbing" a quilt is from Bonnie Hunter. It works well and although I don't use it on every quilt, I have used it particularly when making the blocks for the Irish Chain. Here is the link from BH. The tutorial is called "Webbing the Top". https://quiltville.blogspot.com/2005...in-stitch.html

I made a version of the quilt she used in her demo! I used a jelly roll and made it a generous baby sized quilt.
