    You are welcome, Gaijin! Enjoy!

Speaking of Bonnie Hunter, at my guild meeting today a long armer made the comment that is was futile to spend time doing custom quilting on a BH quilt. Her point was that with all the many pieces on the quilt, the quilting wouldn't be that easy to see. So I felt as tho she gave me permission to do something generic like stipple on those types of quilts, without guilt. Or edge-to-edge, for those who have computerized long arms... which I don't.

Must be a "thing" for guild meetings this week. My group leader also mentioned the Laundry Basket Mystery last night. And Bonnie Hunter and quilting is frequently a topic of conversation at my quilt group meetings. We have a pretty sizeable number who LOVE the little pieced quilts from BH. but always struggle with the quilting of their finished top. Three of them have long arm machines. One of the gals did a queen sized OMG quilt and is stuck now with how to quilt it.

I think a sew-a-long to use our 2.5s would be a grand idea. I honestly forgot about that being part of our past. I do recall that there were some problems when Barbara did a Mystery Sew-A-Long a few years back but they were eventually solved. If any of you have a pattern you adore or would like to try, PM me. I would take on the challenge of creating a sew along. Or if one of you wish to create a sew-a-long. I would be happy to join in. I will do some looking for ideas, but please share your too! Thanks for the nudge, Happylab.

Oh, shame on us. We missed your birthday by a day, Gaijin!

But as you eat the crumbs of your cake and play with the piles of new little treats, know that we hold you dear as a swapping partner. I hope your day was filled with little remembrances that made you smile and that brought you joy.

Wow - that would use up my scraps! So much about color placement. Thanks for pointing it out.

I'm putting my 3 envelopes in the mail today. Hopefully you gals will get them soon. We only have 6 to go after this, how crazy is that?

I saw that one too and boo marked it. Just looked at the pattern on line and the is HUGE 106.5 square. I just finished a quilt top 108 X 96 and wow is it heavy to work with. That does not diminish the loveliness of Square Dancing Stars. The use of color and scraps with just a little planing to bring all those scraps together in a pleasing finish is genius.
