JENNR8R, I see your quilt suggestion is from one of the Bonnie Hunter Books, "Addicted to Scraps" as well as in Quiliting Digest. Some of you may have that the book in your collections. It looks like it was designed for different sized squares, but goodness, bet we can figure out the block using 2.5's pretty easily. (2.5's and 4.5's If I am calculating correctly.)

Thanks for another good idea and one more beautiful way to use our stash of birthday squares.

I would highly recommend this pattern (post # 655) if you need a quick quilt for any ocassion.

    Default Barn Quilts

I took some time off from quilting to paint some barn quilts. I've always wanted to put one on my house. I had three pieces of wood left so I painted them too. I'm ready to get back to quilting now.

Wow Jenn those are beautifully painted! You did a great job. Maybe you should paint more. You are good at it.

WMUTeach, that's such a cute quilt, I just want to cuddle up with it. Good to know it's a quick quilt. I like those kind a lot. Lol

We tested positive for the virus, so we're doing our best to cough it out. At least it happened before school started. That would have been worse. We're symptomatic, it feels like the flu but I can be up and doing some things. Like sewing or pressing things. Then I get tired and have to rest for a bit. We had it worse last time. Ugh.... What a great way to end the summer.

Wow. I've been unable to post for weeks! It never dawned on me that a new browser would solve the problem. I wrote the mods and asked for help at least 5 times, and never got a response. I guess we are on our own here.... But when WMUT mentioned it being a Firefox problem, the light bulb went off!

I love the pictures and chatter that have been posted. I had two quilt ideas for candies that I haven't been able to post. Now I can.

The Firefox solution is intermittent. This post is being written from Firefox, just like in the past. But yesterday, I had to use Chrome. I am counting it as a problem solving puzzle to strengthen my aging brain cells.

Two more good options for us Sewbizgirl! I am loving all of the many options our swappers are posting. They are expanding our options!

    Happy quilting, all.
