    I had to drive to Portland today to take DH to the airport (75 miles) so I finally got to my fav fabric store. I loaded up with all sorts of ideas for the borders for all the centers.

    Now I will finish my blocks to add the border to Lv to sew's center. I hope I get it soon. I haven't heard that she mailed it yet.

    Just saw it in draft. I closed my computer before it actually sent! I'm having gray haired moments.

    Lv2sew2011, so sorry about your dad. I lost my dad a year ago and lost my brother a month before we lost dad. It was a hard spring. Enjoy the time you spend with him. It gets easier as time goes on.

    GracefulAnn and all, I found out that you can send a pm only every minute. So if you are sending more than one, and you think you have quickly sent 2, you might be wrong about that-- and have only sent the first one, while the second one never got sent, because it took you only 25 seconds to type it, and the elapsed time between wanting to send the second one after sending the first one was too short. If that makes sense! :-o So, you might keep that in mind when sending pm's. Just to know for sure you have sent one, pay attention.
    I agree with Sewbizgirl, Let's see pictures!
    Mim, how about a picture of the blocks you have got going? :-)
    Lv2sew2011, I can identify with you... My dad died of cancer, and my mother was 1/2 paralyzed and needed lots of care. It's a difficult time for you. Kiss your folks and love them up when you can... {{hug}}
    I'm going with red and white to add to TRF's center. I believe I will set it on point. I'll use some or maybe all of these fabrics, don't know yet.

    the red and white is very pretty. Being the Canadian one in the group and since I get it after Givio, how do you feel about a maple leaf border TRF?

    I went shopping in my stash tonight and found a green and a red the work with Ripped On Scotch's block. I decided to turn it on point and will add a border to it but not sure just what. It is telling me what NOT to do so far. Her is a pic of the progress. Hope you like it so far, ROS. I will be sure to send your fabrics along when I mail the completed center.
