I'm waiting anxiously also to find the answer to this mystery. It's possible that you may not get an answer from the church right away, due to the fact that church secretaries don't work (usually) on weekends.

This is great, I hope you find her or a member of the actual sewing group. The quilt may have ended up where it was suppose to (rather than in the garbage), with some one who would care about it.
