"I would be worried that Ms. Dorcas would have her feelings hurt that her quilt was put in the yard sale? Did the seller tell you anything about the quilt?"

"Check with the church....or ancestry.com"

"http://www.grace-minis... Here is a link to the church..."

Do keep us posted! I'm on pins and needles! I'm pretty sure Martha Dorcas is the church women's circle group that sews, etc. And they probably made a bunch of quilts for charities.
Such a great mystery....can't wait to find out all the details.
Then there's the second mystery....how did it wind up in the yard sale where you rescued it?!
Blessings,
MaryAnna

But we also take a picture of each quilt as it is put in our closet ready for donation. If Martha Dorcas is the quilt guild name, perhaps they keep some kind of record as to who made the quilt.

Will be very interesting to know the outcome of this little mystery.

This is the first thing I checked into this morning--even thought of it in the night when I woke up for awhile. Hope you hear something today. Anxiously waiting--------

Even if it is 'just the sewing circle', I bet the ladies in the group would love to know about it!
