Yes, I'm the lucky Mom to get this beautiful machine . I can hardley wait to get it so I can sew something on it. It looks to be in great shape. Yes Kenmore sewing machines are the greatest, I'm a lucky Mom to have a thoughtful daughter!!!

What a lovely machine your Mum is a lucky lady not only getting the machine but having a loving daughter who thought of her.

BTW I love the older machines for what you said, they Puuuurrrr so softly and run forever with no fuss or bother just on a drop of oil.

Wow! Looks like the one I had in college! I don't know what ever happened to it, but I can't IMAGINE getting rid of a machine! It was a real workshorse as I recall.

I have the exact same machine. I bought it new in 1975. I have recovered my couch 4 times. Made clothes, curtains, pillows, garment bag, and banners (heavy canvas) for church. The only thing it doesn't do well is 1/4" on triangles. Note that the right feed dog is too far to the right so it doesn't catch the bias edge of the fabric easily. Otherwise it's a work horse. Wouldn't give it away for anything.
