Wildyard, Your orphan blocks are lovely & I love the bright colors. I'm sure anything you do with them will look great.
Fraew, your quilt is beautiful. And the small border with the HSTs is awesome. Great job.

Fraew.... really pretty quilt. It looks like something is written on the blocks beside or beneath each color block. I'm curious..... what do they say? Or, maybe it's a pattern that just looks like words in the picture. It won't be long and this one will be on the finished UFO 2014 thread... Yeah!!

Well, I'm keeping up with my 3 blocks a day goal that I set for myself on this quilt. I'm so excited..... when I turned the quilt to the next row this morning, I could see the end border..... Yeah!! At the rate I'm going, I should have this UFO off the list by the end of the month. I usually pick up speed when I get close to the end...... I hope nothing happens to slow me down. I want this one done.

Jean: So pretty. Anyone who does hand quilting is my hero. I would never finish anything is I were a hand quilter.

Nanna-up-north, is that an appliqué border I spy at the edge of your quilt? Wonderful !! Can't wait to see it in full! Keep up the good work! Smart to set daily goals rather than try to do it all in one gulp and get burned out.

Im working on the napkins for the table set I'm making for my daughter. Just need to press and top-stitch and I'll be done! Then the next challenge---pictures, oh, my!

Ooh nanna that's pretty! I did a signature block swap on the board in 2012. I chose this UFO to work on because all the blocks say 2012...hard to ignore when they have a clear date on them.

And thanks girls. I want to quilt this one myself. I usually send out. So this will be a UFO for a while...haven't quilted anything larger than 8" x 10". LOL

Thanks for the encouragement. I don't hand quilt many of my projects.....they just take me so much time. I'm slow. And, yes, QS, that is applique in the borders. I was on an applique something on everything stage.... and since this a birds in the air block, I appliqued a couple of birds on the side borders. I'm so anxious to finish it.

Fraew, I did look back to the beginning pages on this thread and saw your earlier post about your quilt. It is really nice to have these blocks that have names and dates on them. It's going to be such a special quilt. Are you going to machine or hand quilt it? We're all willing to wait to see the finish.... it will be so worth it.

This is the UFO I'm working on - all the fabric is from my stash. It is a Kim Diehl pattern. I have 40 leaves and 8 circles to applique on it, then need to add the pieced border, layer, quilt and bind. I've drug it out just before Christmas and have been plugging away on it since then.
