So sorry for your loss, Alva. I hope you can feel all our arms around you at this terrible time. I hope that quilting will help you get through this terrible time.

I finally had a chance to do some sewing this afternoon. I'm liking Clue #2. Used option #3 and they are turning out great plus I've got a huge pile of bonus triangles to use on a future project. I've got about half of both clues done now and hope to work on some more of them while watching Quilt Cam tonight. Can't wait to see what the next clue is going to be. Hope we get to use some of our green fabric.

AlvaStitcher, I am so sorry to hear about your brother. Such a sudden loss! I agree, quilting, and other hand work, is very soothing to the soul.

Mom2boyz, I am using the strip method, center strip 1 7/8", the two outside strips 2 " and the point are coming out fine. I'm not sure where your trouble is. After I sew the strips together, I cut the first angle at 45 degrees. Then I used a paper rectangle template that was cut at 2.5 x 4.5. I laid that against the cut edge and it gave me something to put the angle ruler against for the next cut. Did that make sense?

I have cut the required pieces in half. I have no use for a full-size quilt. The half size is more manageable for me. I'm not a pink fan. So, I've used red instead of pink. I hope it's okay. I noticed on the share blog that a lot of people have used their own colors, and they have nothing to do with either pink or yellow or whatever other color you don't like. The only problem I have with mystery quilts is you don't really know what it's going to look like at the end. Just have to kind of go to it one step at a time. We have another one coming out tomorrow. I've finished Step 1, and just starting Step 2. This is not a speed contest, and I can print out the instructions and get to Step 3 when I finish Step 2. It's not going to be done by Christmas. That's for sure. So, I'll make it my winter project.

sounds great Winia, in my lifetime I have seen many more red geraniums anyway..... and like BH said .... this is to be geranium colors not nursery colors ! I wished I could have found a fabric printed allover in geraniums ....
