I am not a veteran, but my BIL girlfriend has shown interest, so I am going to teach her to quilt this year, she just got her first sewing machine this year, so I am excited to have someone close by to sew with

I need a mommy. All I have done is applique SW baby quilts. The only quilting was stitch in the ditch. I can miter my bindings but this is about it. My stash is full of southwester/western fabrics with blenders. I also have some great SW bakits. I want to do more than baby quilts and wallhangings. Have bought lots of patterns but haven't gotten up the nerve to start much. Need a mommy bad.

somebody can adopt me. i'm trying to figure out a good way to enlarge quilts and the resultant fabric requirements. Most quilt patterns seem to be for either lap quilts or full/twin. I don't care about the size of the block itself, that I can deal with. what gets me is how to figure out yardage for a king size from a lap quilt size.- when they tell you to buy 1/2 yard of blue 1 yard of red, 2 yards of assorted yellows, etc. Please don't tell me to get out graph paper.
