Christine, it sounds like you have had a full plate...at least you have the majority of your IC finished with 55 scrappy blocks. I am nearing the end of my 32 scrappy blocks. I assembled 4 yesterday but today will be a gardening day. The background blocks go much faster so I’m sure I can bang them out quickly. Have a great time at the Cape.

Welcome Michelle, we can’t wait to see some photos when you get started.
Happylab, you sound like me...it’s supposed to be scrappy but I am more of a “controlled” scrappy quilter. : )

It is so pretty! The difference in the scrappy colors makes such a difference on how one scrappy quilt to the next looks so unique. I love your color choices.

Here are the blocks I have completed so far.... I will post them here and then put a link into the Virtual Quilting Weekend, as I always enjoy participating in it.

I dearly love that pattern but have too many projects going on right now. Love what I'm seeing!

There are so many beautiful quilt tops and blocks being made, thanks for the inspiration and all the photos. I'm not a big fan of square quilts for myself, so I am thinking I will have to make my quilt 2 blocks longer than the width, just because I want the darker blocks at the corners. ....better keep stitching! This is our Canada Day long weekend, so I hope to get more blocks done before this VQW is completed. (although being retired, every weekend is a long weekend )

I forgot to post the pictures after I was done. It does lay flat. My doggies thought it was a new blanket for them. Here's also a picture of the feathers on it.
