You just plop by the spoonful all over the top of your pan mixture. Bake at about 25-30min until edges are browning. Very good-quick and easy! Enjoy-Skeat
I have canned apple pie filling I did this fall...might just use your recipe and make this, Skeat. Thanks for posting.

I'm in Canada, my butter is in a 1 lb or 454g block, that has ¼ and ½ cup markings on the wrapper. Anyway I found a neat site for conversions because of this "stick" http://www.onlineconversion.com/cooking_butter.htm

1 stick of margarine (or butter) = 8 tablespoons or 1/2 cup

Most margarine sticks come packaged 4 to a box (1 pound).

Butter usually is packaged the same way, except the last time I purchased butter, it was packaged in 4-tablespoons sticks or 1/4 cup

    Does that help?

Skeat: I'll bet the unexpected company also enjoy the "smells" wafting from your kitchen while the cobbler bakes and are drooling before you get it served. Thanks for the recipe. I'm sure I'll be using it.
