    I opted for the u-shape for sturdiness as well as the ability to spread out the held item more and hold more weight. So far working great. Just used to put on the binding on a large quilt...really helped. We didn't glue the connections on the pvc pipe to give us many options for set up.     Wow... that is an amazing idea! I know that Leah Day had posted on her blog about hanging her quilt from the ceiling, but that idea never appealed to me because it's so very permanent. I like the idea of this frame that you can put up when needed and take down if you want to, without damaging anything else!
