OMG! they butchered that cabinet and took the treadle guts out. So sad when the treadle butchers do this to such a lovely cabinet.

It looks like it once was a treadle cabinet. Too bad it wasn't appreciated for what it was intended to be.

Yes, that looks just like ours. But, it's not we wouldn't do a thing like that to our machines. Even when DH saw it he said "What's that stuff on top". Our is patiently waiting for the sewing room to be completed so it will have a nice home.

Billy, I just started making a quilt on my 301 that DH and DS bought off e bay came from Canada. So far it works like a charm. Mine is a tan color also. We saw a black and green one on e bay and the black is really pretty. DD bought attachments off e bay for it so guess I am good to go!

Billy, I had always thought that the folding extension on the FWs was a distinctive feature that didn't occurr anywhere else, and that patently isn't the case, because there it is again in Crosstitcher's machine. Are there any others out there with the same feature?

Looked at your machine and it's a nice one too. I have attachments and a buttonholder. Will look for the zig zag attachment and maybe get it one day. Mine also came in a case that looks like a suitcase. Easy to take to my quilting club.
DH and I really like all the machines we see on here. We have the fevor bad. He just bought a singer 128 made in 1951 today w/ a coffin case w/key for $16.00. The machine has a krinkle finish except for the hand wheel. It need the bobbin plate if anyone has one. Will post pictures later.

We went to the flea market to day and a lady had a Singer model 15 Ser#AD581004 made in Feb. 14, 1934. The machine looked really good but ofcourse needs cleaning. The machine was in a cabinet with a knee control. It had all the attachments minus the buttonholer. Was asking $20.00 but came down to $15.00. We don't really need any more sewing machines especially electric.
