Do all Singer 3/4 size portable cases have the same size opening for the machine, and the same distance between the mounting hinges? Specifically, would a 99K fit into a bentwood base that a 128 came in?
Logically, I would that think that "3/4 size" would be universal despite the model number, but I want to be sure.
Thanks.

I have a 128 from 1923 in a bentwood case, and I have seen an older spoke wheel 99 in a bentwood case. Singer was very good at tooling up once, and using that application across many models.
I think it is likely they have the same hinge spacing, and await the definitive answer. (I'm not home or I'd measure my 128 and 99 and report back.)

Friar_Tuck is correct the depth of the case is different. The 99 being the taller one and the 128 is shorter.
I was thinking someone recently had a case that had a hole cut out of the base so the machine would fit. I don't remember who or what machine. I found it -- You gotta love home modifications! it was Friar_Tuck's 185 which is a modernized 99.
