You may have a badged machine, which means there may be many other machines like yours but with different names on it. Perhaps if you start a new thread and post a picture of your machine. Photos need to be reduced in size to be able to post on QB.

What kind of information are you looking for? If it is a Japanese machine with zig zag capabilities you may want to look through this link Vintage Japanese 'Badged' sewing machine with fancy stitches

Helen Howes is moving but she is still wonderful at finding items for older machines, particularly British and European. I just ordered a front slide and a hand wheel for my Jones treadle as well as needles.

Hi i recently found this machine is a demolition job, and it looked too good to throw away, so i rescued it.
Can anyone shed any light on what brand of who made it. I ahve no idea what to do with it or if it is of any value to anyone. I'm in Perth Australia.
Thanks in advance

I am very interested in a Kenmore Model 158.1914. I wondered if anyone owned one and what their opinion is of this machine. I have a Singer 301 that I love and I am using it to piece a quilt. I love the way it stitches but I would like a mechanical machine that is reliable and does zigzag and used cams for different patterns. I'd love to have some advice.

According to Kenmore 1914 and other Left Leaning needle machines that machine is a left-homing machine with super high shank feet.

Thanks Janey for the posts about the 1914. I wanted it mainly for the cams that allow for different designs. I use my Singer 301 for piecing. I will look into another machine as I wouldn't be able to line up the designs properly with a left leaning needle. I am looking for a reliable mechanical sewing machine. I have over $21,000 tied up in 3 electronic sewing machines and not one of them is working. I can still buy parts and accessories for my 301 but Janome only carries parts for 20 years and then you're out of luck.
