I finally got my Singer 115 put back together. Just have to get the veneer on the lid redone. I was told I should try sewing using only the hand wheel to test the tension and stitches before attaching the belt. The hand wheel moves freely with the feed dogs moving fabric. I'll let you know how that goes. Here's my before and after pictures of my first attempt at cleaning and restoring the cabinet and machine. I didn't want to have it look new, just cleaned it up as good as I could.

Owners manual
Does anyone know where I could get a manual and/or date of this Free-Westinghouse sewing machine? It was given to me by a cabin neighbor and she said she used it to make curtains in the 50s. That was the last time it was tuned up. I found one for sale on eBay but didn't get any reply from the seller. Any help is appreciated. I don't know how to use it and would love to see if it works after oiling.
