No clue how they came up with the date - they are only off 40 -50 years, so I guess that's close enough.

I looked on eBay - they are selling for $25-$50 range, for nicer looking machines. Fully serviced sells for around $100. Wonder if they have a different eBay they are looking at. . .
I have one in mint condition with the tags from when it was new still on it AND it is very light weight........ it does say Domestic, though - I'd be overjoyed to get that kind of price...

Man. These local people kill me. Take your pick of which one you would want to tell they are smoking something special. http://www.thedc.biz/about-us

I like how they used the words "Unique", "Vintage", "Mid Century", "Modern" & "Contemporary" all in the descriptive header for a chrome coffee table. . . And the $349 price tag on the blue vintage White sewing machine!

ok, on the other side of things.....

This nice lady listed her Transverse Pfaff Treadle WITH attachments for $300

I started to talk to her about buying it, but backed out because of finances. (Party and new Florence Treadle)

Today I received this:
"I would like to donate the sewing machine to you. I checked out your website and know the machine would have a great "home". Let me know when you would like to pick it up."

WOW! I suggested to her to let it sit for a week to see if she can make some $$ first. If that does not work, I will pick it up but give her money in a month or so when I can.
