That hideous Pepto Bismol pink is making my stomach churn. I hope for our children's sake the photo is not an accurate portrayial of the true color...

Very true Cari. I'm pretty sure they're not just painting the ones that need it but are painting every machine they get their hands on.
If the trend continues eventually the value of the original machines will be higher and it won't be as profitable to paint them. Not that Featherweights and 301s are cheap anyway.

Very unique--it almost looks like it has a hand pump rather than a hand crank. Not sure what purpose the foot rests serve, but they are pretty.

That is a Franklin. Made in the late 1860's early 1870's

Can be seen on Page 88 of Carter Bays - The Encyclopedia of Early American Machines 3rd edition.

EDIT: I let the seller know as well.
