This looks like such a joyful mess to have!!

I want to put on soft gloves and tell you I'm helping you dust and polish, but really I just want to pet all the pretties.

It's so dry here in CA; the thought of spending a day indoors on a windy rainy day, pushing sewing machine cabinets around....sounds like a little slice of heaven, actually.

Cathy , It sounds like your having fun and that you are well organized. I just had to reorganize my "guest room" so my sister could sleep over. The room looks ok. If you can use help during the week (that Steve and Bride are coming) I could make it out for a day.

Macybaby, where in SD do you live? I'm in SW MN, about an hour from Sioux Falls. I head to Montana each summer to visit my sisters (they migrated...I was already married or I'd be there also!).

I'm about an hour west - just east of Mitchell - so if you are coming across I90, you drive within 6 miles of my place.

I have too many also! Do have 30 (1800's -1965) in collection and others getting ready to sell. I love them all! Had large sewing room built almost a year ago but hubby has not had time to finish the inside so we can move the 5 treadle heads off my dining room table and the 6 other machines in cabinets out of the house. So, yes, my hubby would say I have too many machines.

Wow Cathy!! - You certainly have been working hard!! Everything is looking great! Lots of organizing but you will have so much fun when you can play with them all!

You have a very nice addition and collection. Just think how many more machines you could acquire if you put up one of those steel buildings...

I'm using the building as a way to limit my collection. I ready to move from the "acquisition" phase to the "play with what I've got" phase.

It's been almost a week since I've actually sewed anything too - my main machines are going to get jealous!

I have a great wheel in the living room. And a large, chain saw art rocking horse. I am not sure that collecting treadles is a wise idea

I love the "play with what I've got" statement! Looks great!
