If you read the guy's description of the machine, he has already parted it out to repair other machines because the body was not in good condition. I see nothing wrong with that. Now, if the machine had been in good condition, that's another argument altogether. Personally, rather than throw it away, I'd love a lamp like that in my sewing room if it's no longer usable. Someone called him on it in the question section and he answers them explaining why it's now a lamp.

Someone replied in the questions section and really tore into her for making it into a lamp.The person who is selling it said in her answers that she has several that are worthless like this one is. She said she bought it for parts and now it is worth nothing. Personally, I would rather see it recycled than thrown into the land fill but I do think she ought to include the lamp.
