What a shame that someone took something valuable and did that to it. I am sure in someone's mind it was cute. I don't know if you're familiar with the movie A Christmas Story, but it reminds me of the leg lamp.

Eh, they aren't rare at all and this one looked to be in so-so cosmetic condition, more on the bad side than good. It looks like it was parted out and saved many machines. There have to be donor machines for parts that are no longer available. It doesn't bother me. If someone chose to, it could be easily brought back to life, painted(or not) and used.

It would take some work and $ to gather the parts but it could probably sew again. It does look rough. I see a lot of rust on the needle and presser foot bars. I'm guessing the easy parts were sold off this one and this is what was done to the carcass.

If it was beyond repair, why not? I can think of one machine in my herd/hoard that deserves to be a lamp. Not a Featherweight though LOL.
