Wow, what a sweet little machine. It needs a new home, in California.

Brynn,
Thank you for a wonderful link on how to pack a machine for shipping.

best,
d
QUOTE=Brynn;5187822]You can do it! Here's how my repair guy packs his machines for shipment:

I would buy that it in a heart beat--look how pretty it is, and those decals? You'd be the owner of a machine that's rarely seen in the states. Doooo eeeeet!![/QUOTE]

I am still trying to convince DH that it is doable. He said he'd check with the company he's working with if they could ship it for us, but he "forgets". His main objection seems to be the cost of shipping; he says it would cost more to ship than it is worth.

i brought my Pfaff quilt 4 when i came back from germany. I shipped my clothes home and put the sewing machine in my big suitcase, well packed. I had no problems. i did declare it when i got to customs. The only thing they asked was if i was bring it home for a commercial purpose.

This is a great idea. I could probably fit it in one of our suitcases.
