This is for sale at an estate sale in town. This is the only photo.

Do you know what machine it is?

To me it looks like a 3/4 size model. The bobbin winder is on the top near the hand wheel (not under the stitch length knob), so I guess a 128. The decals looks like they are in good shape, it might clean up very nicely.

original Singer hand cranks (not the machine, just the crank) can sell for $75 or more.

It looks like it's got the very old style box for the attachments, and even though it may be missing the front slide, they are not difficult to obtain.

If it's under $50, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. If it's also got the lid, then I'd go higher. Not that I'd need another machine like that, but I'll grab a handcrank when I can.

...but the hand crank is already occupied for this Singer and it's nice one?

Who knows what this machine really looks like - I've seen plenty that took pretty good from the back side, and horrid from the front side. Often uninformed will show the back side specifically because it is the nicest side.

I was offering advice as to what it might be worth - and a Singer with an original hand crank is worth quite a bit more than one without.

It's out in the suburbs, but I'm going today. I hope it's still there.

They have a good JoAnn's out there. She is having a 20% off sale for senior citizens, plus has the premium cottons on sale for 40% off. Plus, I'm meeting my sister, who gets 15% off for being a teacher. They'll almost have to pay me for those 2 quilt backs I need.

I got it. I checked the serial number and it says it's a 28k. The serial number is Y620591. I think it has a shuttle in it. It's frozen up and pretty rusty and dusty. It's missing the top. The decals are in pretty good shape. There is just one spot that front of the arm that's been de-decalled. I'll get some photos and post them.
