Just to be absolutely clear Steve, you're referring to a 12x1 needle, right? If so, I'll commit to a box (of 100 needles) in size 14. The size 12s are not hard to find?

Oh and with this post I think I'm becoming super. After I hit submit I'm heading for the nearest telephone box

I am not selling anything yet. And if we do I would not break the rules and post about it here.

this is talking about what it would take to get it done and seeing if there's a level of interest and if so which. if we do anything real, we'll either take it off the board and deal with it there, or become paid advertisers.

I wouldn't be posting about it here either. Suggesting it as a good idea isn't breaking the rules is it?

This has been an interesting thread. I'll keep watching just in case you ever do get to the needles I can use.

Thanks for putting this idea out for consideration.

Found a source of the Singer 12x1 needles for model 12, 12K, or New Family

http://www.btrade.ch/339-LAX339_1

Size 14 = NM90

System 339

Canu 23:51

Minimum order is $50

Also available to order is W&G chainstitcher needles, 20x1, Davis Long, and Eldredge/ National Rotary.

Needles are Schmetz. This is a Swiss outfit I have no affiliation with and shipping is very reasonable.

Jon

PS--Also 206x13

Jon,

I'm checking this site out right now but am finding it very difficult. Can you point me to the 20x1 and Davis long listings?

Oh, since I don't speak Swiss or German or what ever language that's in, what do I look for to tell how many needles per package I'm ordering?

And is that Our price: CHF 10.80 Swiss Francs? My currency converter doesn't list Swiss dollars.
