I Had a busy couple of weeks . The Davis was listed as a case to repurpose. She hadn't even looked inside. The black 301 completes my 301 series. I even have the card table they fit in. The white is pretty but still not a favorite. The Free is just nice.

When you say “The black 301 completes my 301 series. I even have the card table they fit in.”, does that mean just the shortbeds, or longbeds too?

Is that the White that came in the MW cabinet? I've been waiting for you to post pictures. They all look like nice machines - but then I'm partial to old machines (aren't we all?)

I'm jealous! You have a couple machines on my want list there! The Peacock pattern on your Free is one of my favorite decal patterns and I would love a Davis Vertical Feed too! I still kick myself on passing on a black 301 for $50 when I first started collecting machines too. If only I had known back then what I know now. Your White looks like it's in great shape. I need to finish cleaning mine up so I can put it to work again. That's going to have to wait until I get a few other things caught up though.
Great gets on all of them!

My timing issues seem to be resolved on the Kenmore free arm I'm tinkering with. One problem though. The feed dogs aren't moving in reverse on the decorative stitches like they're supposed to. They were working before I messed with the timing again. Any ideas what to check?

I have one beige long bed, like mom had. One beige and white short bed on a case and one black short bed which will be used in the card table. All the ones I thought I needed.

Yes that is the White, I didn't post the cabinet because it is in the garage waiting to get cleaned up. The gal I got her from had about 50 machines. Many were industrial because she made awnings for a living.

Lately I have seen quite a few of those Free machines. Most of them are in really good shape. That makes me wonder about the quality of decals on other machines.

My husband has worked on a few Free treadles, and commented that they put the Singer 127 to shame.

My 301 lineup is similar to Helen's - a beige long bed, mine is in a case, a Black long bed (very early machine, pre "A" model) in a case with a card table, and the two tone short bed in a cabinet.
