I found one. I didn't recognize it right away because it was for sale with the whole cam gear. It was the same price but at least I have it on the way.

I don't think the 328 screw will fit. The back of the screw on mine (mocha 306W) looks larger.

I don't know if this is normal with this machine or not, but the electric motor pushed the treadle. The wires were falling apart, so my husband's looking at the motor and wiring before I can do a test. Then we'll finish cleaning her up. These are the same fashion discs that my 1986 2404 uses. Do you need the zig zag disc?

I've never seen it. Motor powers the hand wheel or the treadle does.

OK, I'll have to take a closer look at the cabinet when we go back out there. He took the machine out of the cabinet and brought it home. Does each motor have two separate boxes? This had the motor box and then another box and then the pedal. My husband swears that the second box had a rod that came out and pushed the treadle somehow. Maybe he's mistaken since he's not familiar with sewing machines. This is one of the machines we found in my mother-in-law's shed after she passed away.

Singer did have a conversion kit from treadle to a box and rod that made the treadle pedal operate the motor. It's pretty rare to find one, but maybe that's what he's talking about.

So far no cords. That great packing job was so nice to see but the seller forgot to put the pedal and cords in. I contacted the seller right away to let them know they were missing and I was hoping they'd been shipped by now. I contacted them again yesterday and so far they have not been able to find them.

What should I do? What should the seller do?

Convert it to treadle, and discard the cords?

Ha! Not very likely only because I am short on space for another treadle. Maybe if I were to make a mutt in the future. If the motor is good I could likely use other cords and pedal but it's more money out of pocket than the initial plan. I'm just bummed the didn't come with the machine. They were in the photo and the sale was supposed to include them.

I'm not sure what the seller will do about it but I would hate to give bad feedback so I want to work it out without getting eBay all involved.

Any sign of your cords yet?

I know you paid a pittance for the machine but that pittance included cords!

Do you have another cord set you can 'borrow' to test the machine in the meantime?

I probably have another cord set that would do. I've been super busy lately with other projects so I haven't moneyed with it yet. The seller was having trouble finding the cords and pedal but I gave them time with the holiday weekend and all and they just let me know they DID find them and would send them yay!
