That's hilarious! Did the neighbor's think you were in the "doghouse?" But hey, you did what you wanted!

The cold treadle sounds preferable to the cold shower.

I have some originals in size 18, they went through the denim like it was tissue paper. I also have some of the MY1014s and they work great, but are smaller. I just need a source that's easy to access and that has the bigger sizes.

I have some DBx1s too, I'll remember to try them when next I use that machine.

Strangely enough my other 9W-7 has been altered to use the 15x1 needles, yet it will still use the 127x1s. All you have to remember is to keep the flat to the left.

This is great, I'd not be doing it though, It is snowing here today and it's 32 degrees. Looking forward to the quilt.

THAT IS SEW COOL or rather cold. I LOVE YOUR MACHINE. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS A NICE DAY BUT I AM NOT SURE I WOULD BE OUT IN THE WEATHER SEWING BUT WHEN I AM ON A MISSION NOTHING STOPS ME. I THINK MOST QUILTERS OR PEOPLE WHO LOVE TO PLAY WITH THEIR TOYS (sewing machines) WILL DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. GOOD LUCK STAY WARM.

Way to go, Joe! That shows true dedication. Your machine and cabinet are just beautiful and, at their advanced age, I think they should have a place of honor inside the house.

I often use more than one machine on a quilt; it is not unusual to use five machines, each for their own strengths, if I'm doing decorative work or making an art quilt.
