Well the first time it seized up when I put each cord in its right socket on the block. But the smell was so bad that I kind of freaked out and cut the wires. So there's no way to know now. The block wire is intact but all of the other "new" wires got cut. I probably shouldn't have reacted like that but it just smelled like burning so bad. So there's no way to know now.

If you go back to the beginning of this thread I posted a lot of photos of my machine. I presently have two bobbins to use, I was able to get rust off of the other one using clr and I cleaned up the needles I have.

Someone else told me to get a whetstone then another person an actual file. So I got the file. I'll try them both but only after I figure out what kind of needles the machine actually takes. Because the needles in it say belridge sp? rotary needles and have a double digit number after that. But they're longer than the photo of the needle in the manual which the manual says to compare it against. I ordered some dd1221 from ebay, I don't know if they'll fit I haven't taken them out of the pack yet but at this point I am SO confused that I am willing to try anything. I also bought some modern universal needles to try too. They're actually shorter than the beldridge sp? ones that came with the machine! It's all very confusing, I have a lot to try out and figure out

But basically the back of your pillar looks exactly like mine only where the bobbin rewinder is the plate thing is a bit more ridged/raised where the two screws go. I made the mistake of removing the bobbin rewinder yesterday when I was trying to fit the tractor knob on and boy did that cause problems, it made the needle not go up and down right. So I quickly put it back in and it runs beautifully again (Well, by hand) since I can't use a motor now.

here is what the machine looked like before. Also I find it a little difficult to get a picture of the pillar and the raised ridged back where the bobbin rewinder connects in because the hand wheel is in the way but I will try again soon.

Sorry about asking for pictures, the first time I viewed this thread no pictures showed up, maybe they weren't loading and I clicked off the page without giving it a chance.
You have the same machine as mine, except mine has a solid handwheel.
Needles: You have the needle decal on the base in front of the pillar; ignore any designation given to a needle, except CC1221, and any needles you have compare to that decal. The needle designation in the manual is likely obsolete. If you are going to file down needles use that decal as your guide. I would work on getting properly sized needles before I started trying to change the timing on the machine in any way to accommodate some other needle.
Electric: It's unfortunate that you cut the wires, no way at this point to do any further diagnosis. From the pictures I am guessing that the motor was brand new, or close to it. Check the wiring off the light and the motor and see if it is still pliable, or if you can tell if it's burned/hardened/melted. It will become hard before it melts. Again, guessing, but you may have been smelling the knee/foot controller burning. The power block can be replaced easily and fairly cheaply including a new foot control, see Janey's link to one on Amazon. Wires can be fixed, new plugs can be put on. Unless you're comfortable taking apart that knee/foot controller I would start by getting a new one. If the wires on the motor and light are burnt or diminished in any way, send me a message.

Well, what's odd is that the needles (the old needles) that came with the machine are longer than store bought modern needles? I thought the old needles were much shorter? I'll have to go size things up by the decal like you said. But the needles that came with the machine are labeled eldredge I guess? I'm not sure how it's spelled and I'd have to use a magnifying glass. As for the motor and the light wires they were fine. I think the problem was the block and knee switch, but I didn't know that. Those wires look bad. I don't know how to rewire anything myself or electrical and I'd be afraid to

Is there any way to buy another new motor like the one that came with it that already has an electric wire?

I wouldn't worry about what's stamped on the shaft of a needle. If the needles that came with it don't match the decal then they could be a mistake. The machine could theoretically sew with the wrong needle, especially if you're only turning it by hand, but I wouldn't chance it once you have the motor back on.

If the wiring and plugs on the light and motor are still good then get the new power block/controller. Once you have that and reinstall the motor you'll have to be careful tightening the bolts on the bracket, you'll not want to over tighten the drive wheel to the hand wheel.

I have a bracket and screws for it still if I could just get a whole new setup.
