The Aluminum Bantam machine impressed me. This is the machine we rigged up with a hand wheel and motor and then shipped to Afghanistan for use by my student who was stationed in a FOB (forward operating base). As they withdrew from the front they gifted the machine and it's accessories (ALL donated by folks here!!) to the local Afghan Police department. They treasure it.

What a great thing to have done!
Perhaps you know something of the company who made them?

Rodney,

The two 3/4 size aluminum machines I have with cases and all are very similar in weight to the Featherweights. I really can't tell the difference without a scale.

Hmm...I was wondering about the bobbin cover on mine. It doesn't seem original and indeed looking at the machine on CL it's not the same. Mine should be a chrome place but it isn't.
