I received a hand turned Singer (built 1925) for early Christmas present. It sews like a dream. My husband can't understand why I would want one that you have to turn by hand. How can you explain that? I just know that beauty was sitting beside the road at a sewing machine dealer's repair shop. Naturally, my son and I did a turn-around and turned in. Rest is history...I refused to buy it (being practical some times). He decided he and his brother are buying for me for Christmas (poor younger son and DIL found out after the fact). I admit I cried. Such a splurge...but my DIL is also very happy. She doesn't sew, but will be getting this one day because she loves antiques. Now, we are all happy! Then I found a FW on this board for a remarkable $200 including shipping. I am truly a blessed quilter this year...and machine rich.

Merry Christmas

That is a nice machine and a gorgeous cabinet.

I sew on White 77MG made in 1950. I LOVE it.

I don't have a real vintage but I do have my first singer which is yellow with age but still zips along.......of course it didn't have the nice stitches so now she has a sister Singer.

I have a 15-91 someone gave me and it doesn't have a bobbin case. Do you know where I can find one?

I free motion quilt on my Featherweight all the time.
