Just picked this old girl up and cleaned the gunk off enough to check her decals which look super nice. Serial number is G (or C) 64514645 and she's totally complete except for a belt. All I know is that she's a red-eye so can anyone help me with further information? I waded through back pages in this thread and kept getting side-tracked by all the glorious pictures. She has a history which is great but no manual. Where can I find one? The Singer site claims that all records for this serial number have been lost .......

That sure is a beautiful RedEye!! The decals are wonderful! Did the Singer site say which model? But I am sure the experts at identification here will be able to tell you the model by looking at it. It's a beauty...you did great!

Can anyone help me with a Brother Chargerf 651? I can't get it to straight stitch, only zigzag.

Thanks,
Lauren

I had one, but had to practically give it away to get it on out of here. Depends on the area, I guess.

These little 185s may be the next "hot" model to acquire!!

She is a singer from 1923 ....a singer Red Eye a 66-1(I believe) with baIck clamp for attatchments. It only came with one foot, and no manual. with the back clamp, is it a high shank??? There is some silvering on the front edge of the bed. It is cleaning up so good! You couldn't tell the decals were there in some spots and they are cleaning up real nice. I am really excited! I know that the 66 is somewhat common machine but I think she is beautiful. I will post pictures when I am done. Also how hard is it to find feet for this machine?
thanks

now I am going back to page 345; I wonder if I'll ever catch up lol

So many posts - so many beautiful sewing machines - I can't believe it. Love looking at everyone's treasures.

Debbie ~ I admire a woman that has the patience to read 1000 pages of past posts. Your Singer 66 backclamp attachments are a little hard to find but not impossible. Keep your eye out and occasionally they will turn up on Ebay. You can download a manual off the internet and if not PM me and I can send you a copy. I can't wait to see your pictures!

Judy

She is a model 66-1 with backclamp feet. It is most likely a G in the SN# Made in 1918. Go to http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html amd you can download a free manual. Glenn

No, I couldn't find out anything on the Singer site ---- probably wasn't looking in the right place I guess. I have no idea what model she is or anything else. Oh my, is she ever a smooth girl - new belt should be here tomorrow or Thursday. Is there a threading diagram for this one - or instructions on putting the bobbin in ???
