When I looked up her serial number I found that her decals are La Vencendora decals....grape vine and leaf motif. I did a google translate and La Vencendora means The Winner in Spanish. So, maybe I should name her Dora! How cute is that??

I need to buy a key too! She was born August 1, 1921 in NJ. She's a Singer 128, not a featherweight. (a 3/4 machine) Texas Jan Also, my case is really really broken on the bottom. How is the best way to repair it? The top is in good shape. The wires are iffy so I haven't tried to sew with it but everything turns and moves well. Also, what does the bullet bobbin look like? I can't tell if there is one in there are not. As I said, my ignorance is really showing on this machine!! :) PS: Her SN is G9842042, born Feb 19, 1923, 15,000 allotment. |

I need to buy a key too! If you find a source for either of these, would you post the site? I need them, too! Thanks! |

Here is what the key looks like to my dome top singer 128 case. I am assuming they are all alike?

Picked up a Singer 27 with Sphinx decals today for $25. Cabinet needs some TLC one knob on drawer is gone. Head is frozen but doesn't seem to have much rust and missing front plate, as usual. On the good side, shuttle and 3 bobbins, almost new belt. G series. It's still in the van, so no pics yet.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!
I contacted a vendor about a metal darning foot for my Singer 301A. It took some doing but they were able to locate one and quoted a price of $30 plus shipping. That seems like a lot to me. Is it? |
