I had thought of thimbles too...and a small pincushion...and wooden spools. You could make a mini quilt, just use a simple quick pattern and quilt straight stitch rows...fabrics must have the vintage look too! :)

Now here's something... my 15-91 did a fabulous job on FMQ last night. So solid! However...
Once I let up the gas on the pedal, the needle goes up and down about 5-6 times. Also, when I load the bobbin, the bobbin winds really fast and neat, but the needle goes slowly up and down at the same time. Any thoughts?
I think I need to go see an OSMG. The pedal goes 100mph or 0. No in betweens. I think I need a rewire....

I had that speed problem with my Featherweight, but since William did the "fixin'" I don't remember what had to be done....it's here on the board, I *think* in this thread!

I had that problem with the "stop action" knob not kicking the needle "out of gear" with this new handcrank. For that one, thanks to a lot of great advice, was fixed by taking the handwheel off, cleaning, oiling, and flipping the washer over before reassembling it.

Have you posted a pic of your machine? I would like to see what mine is supposed to look like. I have no decals, and it looks like someone painted it with a brush. I think it was a treadle that someone electrifed.

I'm 99% sure it will be mine on Sunday. Seller said she'd hold it for me. Road trip, yay! The serial number she sent shows it was allotted on Oct. 5, 1910 (G784285). It's just so neat to think I can get a machine that's seen a century and still use it.


The virus has definitely struck. Nothing really to take for that is there? I guess I'll just have to wait it out! I am telling myself no more, except that I now I'm getting interested in something that can do a few decorative stitches and zigzag.
