Went junkin' in Nampa and Caldwell today... Found a monagrammer for 4 bucks and a Singer sewing book from 1951...saw a pretty bright pink Brother, but for $80 it stayed in the store. Tomorrow we go to Boise!

Miriam so glad you are finally able to download pictures.

Randa, your Amerikan is very pretty. Enjoy.

I was looking for that answer, too. With all the New Homes popping up, I figured someone here would know!

I am very excited - my young friend helped me figure out the pictures. The picture program on my computer did not have any way to shrink pictures so we moved the pictures to the paint program and then saved them!!! now I can put up pictures again!!!

Randa, here is a New Home Rotary manual, but I think they thread about the same. http://www.ismacs.net/newhome/manual...ary-manual.pdf

I also have a New Home shuttle type manual. I will find that for you.

Nancy

Here is the shuttle New Home. This is from the Smithsonian so it is a little harder to download! http://www.sil.si.edu/DigitalCollect...es/image11.htm

Your attachments should have a fork on the back since your Amerikan is a back clamping type machine, anyway it looks back clamping to me in your picture!

Thank you, Nancy! I think I can do this now. Of course the printer has decided not to work....it will run when I turn the computer on in the morning which is soon enough. Would love to see the manual you have.
Yes, the attachments have the fork. I'm gonna play around with this soon and see what all it does. Not sure about the broken thread guide. It's large so don't think it will matter too much.

I think I have one good needle with this machine. It came with two wooden cases and both made noise when I shook them. One had broken needles in it! The other had one needle. Lol! I'll be hunting for them too!

Quick question. Is a Singer 347 a slant needle machine?

Thanks for the link to the shuttle manual - mine was missing several pages. My new Home doesn't have fork backed feet - it has these funny looking ones. So, the puzzle box that came with has attachments that don't work. I did get a few extras - now i'll be looking for ones that look like this:
