Sure looks like one... in super nice cosmetic condition. I'd snatch it up! Those are a nice little 3/4 size.

Unfortunately I am looking for a 15 or a 301. Need a vertical bobbin case, full size machine, & feed dog drop for optimum FMQ. The gal didn't post any pictures with her ad, so we've been e-mailing back and forth. Now after all that I get to tell her I don't want it. Maybe I will post a link here to her ad in case anyone in Calif is interested.

Not your fault tho, really... if people would just give you the vital info and post a decent close up photo (not one so far off you can't even see the machine) then they could save everyone a lot of trouble, themselves included.

How many times has it happened that when you finally get a seller to take a picture it's only of the cabinet, with the machine stored inside! People ,are so clueless... I'm looking at an auction here locally right now and there is a machine like that. Photo shows only a closed cabinet, plus it's dimensions and condition-- like the sewing machine inside just doesn't matter. A sewing machine is a sewing machine, right? Arrrrgggh.

Cowgirl, I am close to you I am sure. IF you want you can pm me and we can get together and you can try my treadle. Kathie

Nancy, that machine is gorgeous and the back is just as beautiful as the front. . . it should be in the middle of a room!

Our White Rotary's do look very much alike. Mine has the light in front and of course is missing the t-shirt cover and yours is much more clean than mine. . . but I'm working on one at a time and right now it's the redeye treadle.

Thanx for the site to date my machine. It says mine is a 1930 and it even had the cabinet listed and it was originally $169 way back then! So guess I did okay for $45. for machine and cabinet!!. . . I'm enjoying looking at everything there. . . I haven't as yet come across the right manual or a place to get parts, I need the t-shirt cover and whatever parts go with it to attach it. Hopefully, I'll find one once I know where to look.
I appreciate your help. luv2learn

Yes they have the same size bed 14 5/8" x 7" and you can change them out all day long.

Better than lifting weights![/quote]

Ha, ha! Come on now, a bag of dog food weighs more than these machine heads...

I don't think they have any idea that its not just a piece of furniture, not a clue that we'd like to see the machine from the front...not the back. I can't tell you how many pictures I've seen of old machines that have the cabinet hinges on the machines because the seller has no idea that they actually come off the machine. The last cabinet I bought had a featherweight case on top of it in the auction picture, so naturally I assumed that the featherweight was for sale at only $100. They did a switch when I got there and it was a really beat up Singer 99k that was for sale. The cabinet was empty and separate. Oh well I really wanted another treadle cabinet for my Singer 237 treadle machine.

I moved my 15-88 into my sewing room! Yippeeeeeee! I finally made the commitment to have a treadle in the sewing room -- they are all over the house -- except the sewing room!

Nancy

Oh, it's so beautiful. Never seen a "free" nor decals like those. Just gorgeous. The treadle pedal, too...

My favorite is "beautiful machine, works"- only to see a small picture of a closed cabinet.

She did do well! Those Free No. 5 have very pretty decals and the pedal is pretty too.

A lot of night owls tonight! Is everyone working on projects?
I'm taking another break from basting.

WOW! Mine was made in 1908, too, but in America. It has the old back clamping attachments, but I don't care. I will probably only ever straight st. with it, anyway. It's got a ton of attachments but they look like Greek to me!

;)

sewbiz, If you go to my post you can see a pic of my lotus. Glenn

Oooh, it's lovely. Your decals are in way better shape than mine, on the bed. My center decal is pretty wiped out, and someone painted black over a part of the bed border decal right at the front. :(

So, am I right in thinking the only dif between a lotus and a brown lotus is that little bit of red on the ends of the small flowers? Any other differences?
