That machine (a supernova) was one of the smoothest machines I've ever had. I bought a Julia a few months ago and it's a great machine too. On the other side, Amelia's supernova was a real piece of crap, due to total lack of maintenance. They just need to be looked after and they'll look after you. So smooth.

Oh, I just love that lavender Necchi. I have the Lelia 515 which is kind of a salmon or pink color. I am looking for the cams and a manual for her.

The machine says "made in Italy" right on the front - so I'm assuming it's Italian made. The seller told me that the family story is Grandma saved and save until she could afford to buy this machine - Grandma would have been in her early 40's at the time.

She's made it to DH's work bench. I think he's looking forward to getting this one up and running.

The bobbin winder is neat - open up the door and then push the winder over, and the tire lines up with the flywheel.

It also has a switch that goes from low speed to high speed with the motor (min/max) along with the light switch. This machine did not run with the light off.

And that oval plug? Looks like this machine can be converted to treadle - there is another hole on the back side and a channel for the belt in the housing - I assume it would enter via the bobbin winder hatch . . . this one would be really neat to use as a treadle!
