Positively, YES! I don't have a "collection" to speak of, just some that have been given to me! I don't have much room for many machines, and my knowledge about the machines is, to say the least, quite limited! I love to admire the old machines! They're beautiful!

I wouldn't say this is any collection type collection - it's just old sewing machines. I have until Monday to pretty much get my act together, then work like a crazy person the rest of the week.

A slide plate on a 27 didn't slide it sticks - bad - it's off another machine anyway. Brian storm. I don't need slide plates - I don't WANT slide plates... I found a piece of heavy plastic as in the dividers between people mag and US mag - surplus from the racks... ssshhhhhhhhh......... don't tell them. I cut out the needle plate hole area and fit it over the base of the machine. Now to anchor it so it doesn't slip. NO ALABAMA CHROME...... IDEAS??? It is NEAT you can see the shuttle and thread interact. VERY good for the petting zoo.

This one sets in a very rough cobbled together experimental 2X4 frame - cause the plastic fits better... I like the idea of screwing it down but that doesn't make a quick bobbin change. Maybe I can wedge it between sets of screws on the frame. I can't seem to get a picture of it since the plastic is clear. Maybe we can call that machine a peep show... I should rig an LED light under there so the shuttle shows up. NAH... flashing CHRISTMAS lights all the way around the dark side.....
I've been going around here in a frenzy trying to figure out which machines to haul and what cleaning stuff I need etc.

Ok DH has been hard at work. He build a nicer frame out of 2 X 4s. Then he put velcro on the front and back. Then he put velcro on the plastic. YES. Nothing shifts when I sew. I can see something happen down there. BUT I put light blue thread on the bobbin - it blends with the bobbin case and you can't see thread at all.
