Sorry, Society for Creative Anachronism. A "living history" group that focuses between 600-1600ce. Semi full contact fighting is what we are mostly known for, but we reenact every aspect of the middle ages (outside of religion and plague) Brewing, weaving, pottery, woodwork, calligraphy and illumination, etc, etc, etc)

As an observer to this - -

#1 question - How many machines are you planning to show? or want to show? (I don't like schlepping)

After that question is answered, then maybe decide which ones to bring - if you haven't already done so

There are so many ways they could be classified -

Singers only - their history and progression

Singer clones - matchesd up with the "originals"

Anything but black machines - all the pretty colored ones - I think that would be a fun one. In my mind, all the older machines were black.

Anything but Singer machines -

The "best" of a line paired up with the "worst" of a line -

Maybe run that video of "how a sewing machine makes stitches" in the background as a continuous loop.

Is that still the basic concept for how they make stitches in most of the domestic sewing machines??
