Default Should I Purchase?

I don't know anything about White machines. Available locally is a White Rotary serial number FR3500006. Can anyone tell me about this machine and whether it's worth looking at it?

Yes, it is worth getting - it has a good table, too! (I looked it up) You never know what you are getting until you test sew with a machine. Be sure it has all of it's parts and check to see if it sews. I like those old White machines - they are well machined and well thought out - the hand wheel turns backwards.
I also saw a Wheeler and Wilson for not too much - you want to be VERY sure it has all of the parts and bobbins.

It's in a cabinet. And across the head it reads White Rotary and the correct serial number is FR3350006. Do you know what the machine can do? It's a Craigslist ad and no info on whether the machine is just straight stitch or zigzag. The ad includes a picture of several Grist feet - the type that load I guess from the back? In other words, the feet don't look like they attach like those on my 15-91.

it will not mingle with a Singer but it is a great straight stitch machine
If you want a treadle the Wheeler and Wilson is a really good buy if it is all there.

Wow, I saw so many cool things in the Hartford area for really low prices I can barely stand it. Lol.

Both the White and the $85 W&W are good deals. The $125 W&W in the parlor cabinet would be worth considering but the top is missing along with the cover plate and possibly the bobbin case. That pushes it down a bit. There's also the free Kenmore that's worth considering if you're not too far from Hartford.

The White Rotary is a very good machine to sew with, make sure it has the bobbin case. The machine uses a modern 15x1 needle that most machines use now. My machine is a 1917 and sews very well, one of my favorite machines.
