Thank You so much OurWorkbench...I could not have done it without the help of the wonderful people on here. I am amazed at how much everyone on here knows!

But we all started out as rookies. And we still learn.

Cleaning behind the faceplate and under the bobbin slide is essential and oil everything that moves, or should .

I just received some oil today, Tri-flow. I was told that it's good oil for sewing machines. I don't think I'm ready to try the greasing just yet but I'm goin' for the oil part.

Yes, Tri-flow is a good oil for sewing machines.

Actually, your machine doesn't need any grease. Some of the vintage Singer machines had a motor that used grease ports. By the time the 15 clones came, the motors no longer had grease ports. There are some machines that have gears, that it is recommended that grease be used on.

There is a manual for 15-clones at http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/manuals/ha-1-ib-wgh-instruction-manual.pdf

Another manual for a Morse 15-clone, that has the stitch length window like yours, can be found at https://tinkerbeth2.files.wordpress..../01/morse1.pdf

Since we don't have a "Like" button on QB, I'll reiterate:
