You could also do a piano key border in one of the less dominant colors (like a dark blue or green) along with white/cream.

Nice job pulling it all together.

I'll be the odd quilter out and say -- unless you really want to increase the size of the finished quilt -- skip the border or just go with a narrow white border and then bind with your favorite of the brights used in the blocks. I feel like the quilt as it is now has a nice, understated and graphic feel and the focus is all on the blocks -- which is great, since the story this quilt tells is about friendship stars made by various quilters for a swap. To put a lot of additional color and pattern all around in a border would, to my eye, distract from that.

If you wanted an additional graphic feel a single randomly pieced border of the 4 star colors, using tone on tone blenders or batiks for example: if you want a 4 inch finished border, take a 4 1/2 inch wide red strip that is 10 inches long, then a 4 1/2 inch wide purple strip that is 6 inches long, sew the 2 together, now you have a longer border strip. Keep going until you have 4 borders. A braided border of the star colors would also look good.

Oh,. I'd want those bright stars to truly be the star, so I'd put about a 2" white border, then a pop of color from one of the stars in about a 3/4" border or flange, then about 3 1/2 or 4" white border

Very pretty quilt. I would start looking for a purple fabric with bits of the other colors. You might also "float" a narrow inside border using your background fabric.
