Default Have you tried this tip for ironing fabrics?

I had a MEGA stash of fat quarters that I wanted to iron
(I am talking about 400+ fq's). However my "normal" size
spray bottle that I used to fill the water tank in my iron just
    kept running out of water.

Now the tank on my iron holds 12 ounces of water, I could
only get 2 fills on a bottle. It felt like I was ALWAYS at the
    faucet filling the bottle again.

A couple weeks ago I was the store and happen to spot one
of those larger (1/2 gallon maybe?) water bottles and thought
that would be perfect for my ironing "binges". It's an idea that
I am GLAD to be using now.

The spray bottle on the right is a 24oz size and the one on the
left is the NEW water bottle that I am happy to be using.

LOL @ me. I not only never thought of using a bigger bottle; I've never thought of using a bottle at all! I drag the iron to to faucet. Wow! I'm not too bright.

    very creative!
if i have a LOT of ironing to do, I dampen the fabric[s] and roll them up. place in a plastic bag. refrigerate overnight. now, no steaming or spraying needed

I have to admit that I use a 2 liter bottle that used to have soda pop in it. I fill it up with filtered water (which is in the kitchen) and then refill the iron from that.

I've recycled gallon milk jugs--you're right, running back and forth to the sink gets old fast

I use a lot of steam when pressing yardage. I keep a gallon of demineralized water next to my ironing board with a funnel but it looks tacky. This bottle is nicer looking.

I tried this method, but hubs got rather grumpy with me
for taking up so much room in the fridge with my "bags"
    of fabric.

Back when I use to wash and iron ALL my fabric soon as
I brought it home (I don't anymore because there was
just to much). I would take up 1 to 2 shelves in the fridge.
    Hence the reason I stopped.

I don't understand why you need to use a *spray* bottle to fill your iron. I use a funnel (that came with the iron) and 1/2 gallon jug of distilled water from WalMart. I do have a spray bottle handy to dampen the fabric if it needs it, but that's full of tap water.

Well it was the largest and only bottle I had on hand at the time
prior to getting the bigger bottle.

My iron mfg. recommended NOT using distilled, or filtered water
because it had built ion "anti calcium additives". I have NEVER
had any problems with the iron in the 7+ years I have had it.
