If you had a request for a "neutral" bed quilt, what would that mean to you?

Don't forget to include all of the different "shades" of white and cream.....the barely-lavenders, the palest pinks and blues, the faint soft greens, you know what I mean. These will look even more creative than white against the other neutrals....and don't forget grey is neutral, too!

Well, I couldn't add a picture but check this link out for "neutral" colors and scroll down to see the neutral Flying Geese quilt.

"Neutral" is open to many interpretations--used to be tan or ivory but decorators call gray, pale lavender, black, white, even some greens "neutrals." I'd want more information before proceeding with plans. Can you talk to the mother of the bride-to-be? They may have a "neutral" room but have a particular accent color planned. A neutral room would be a fabulous setting for a vivid quilt.
I think the bride's 'style' might be more important than color--does she like modern, traditional, 50's retro, cottage style, shabby chic, scrappy, 1930's, arty?

Did she say she thinks they want a neutral quilt? It sounds like the room color is neutral, there are a lot of colors that go well with neutral paint. I saw a most gorgeous quilt done in black, tan, brown, and off white. The black made it so outstanding.
