Just finished Bargello top, and I have a question for Bargello experts...

Dina, WHEN are YOU going to qualify yourself as an expert?? All you really need is the width of the strip set cut and the number of the fabric on top. Should be rather easy since you have the quilt to refer to as reference. That is what I did when I did two of Eileen Wright quilts that had mirror image down the center. I just look at the opposite row. I think the final top came out superb!

I didn't use a pattern. But I have made myself a sort of chart and after I get the current quilt top quilted, I will start the second one. It will go quicker than the first, because I am not trying to figure out what I want the quilt to look like.

I want to do a big B quilt. I have been making quilts for a hundred years! lol well I am 81 and have been piecing and etc since I was a teenager. So you do the numbers. I have never tried to do a bargello. I have several books and keep looking. Also my stash resembles a fabric store. So what is my problem.? The quilt police? lol
