2015/16 birthday swap...candy style 2.5"
#1091
TravelingGramma, your candies will go in the mail on Monday. Hope you enjoy them!
And this is my check-in. I've been extremely busy with family stuff but all is calming down now and I'm getting my house back in order after a lot of comings and goings lately. I need to get back to quilting...I'm STILL trying to finish up a top that is "this" close to being done. Two more hours and DONE. We'll see if I can do it tonight.

Traveling Gramma, your birthday candy is ready for the mail Monday morning.
I've been busy cleaning out my quilt studio and trying to get rid of everything I might not use. Honestly, I'm finding things I feel like I've never seen before! Anyway, I've sold my A-1 longarm and am taking delivery of my new Gammill Statler Stitcher on September 19. That may sound like a long ways off to you, but not if you saw what I must do in the quilt studio to get ready! It's exciting and exhausting. Hope everyone is having a happy and productive summer.

I hope you will be happy Michelle. I've just never have wanted a computerized machine for me. I love the freehand and knowing it was done by me....mistakes and all. Also the people I quilt for just want the simple designs..makes a huge difference. Would like to know how you like it once you really start using it. Please keep this novice informed

Hey ladies...
Tpr9258...love the quilt and I love the names on it. Such a family treasure!
SheriR...what a lovely stack of colorful quilts. l love the quilts laid out in the field edge to edge. Great picture
DJ....I will keep your daughter Mary in my prayers, for safe travel and good decision making. (top prayer for me when my kids went away to college).
Michellesews....so happy for you and your new toy. I would love to get a long arm quilting machine. I have the room...not the money

Well just wanted to let you know that I DID finish the quilt for Cooper. I started it on Tuesday evening. Cut most of it out and sewed all day on Wednesday. Finished the top and no one would quilt it at my quilt group so I had to tie it. Tied it on Thursday and then Friday I had to go shopping for more fabric for the binding. Friday night (starting at 9:45 pm) after date night with hubby. Made the binding, put the binding on and hand stitched the binding on the back.
It was already for the party at 11:30 am SATURDAY. phew.
Bonnie I may need you to put pictures on for me. I will try again but it does not seem to work for me.
Anyway the top is Elmo (surrounded in red and blue) and the back has Cars.
Pictures to come (hopefully).
