Good Morning ladies, I just saw that my dear soon to be mother in law was able to send out a text to miss ladybug 1938, she is right. There is nothing in our community. I am currently at my parents house with Blaze and they are fortunate enough to have water, electric, cable, cell service, internet and all of the finer things in life. They live in a village that has off of its own utilities. We are all alive and doing well. We lost every material object that we could, but more importantly, we are all alive and have each other. Blaze and I are heading back home in a little while and hopefully i can get Krystyna to come over to my parents house with me tonight for some dinner, and to help celebrate not only my dad's 64th birthday, but also that we are alive. But we thank everyone for your prayers and well wishes and we send out our prayers for all the other members on the board who live in destruction that is known as hurricane sandy. We hope that everyone is alright, and even though without power and all of that jazz that goes with this horrible event, are alive to cherish each other.

So glad to hear from Krystyna and Melissa and know that you are well! Know that you and everyone else suffering from the storm are in my prayers. Thank you for the update Rosemary. Melissa hope you can talk Krystyna and the rest of the family into taking a break and have a hot meal and a quick shower and try to relax for just a minute. Know how stressful hurricane clean up can be, my sisters house has been destroyed 3 times from hurricanes.

Just wanted you all to know that our News channels over here are continually broadcasting updates of the devastation and loss suffered by the Eastern seaboard and elsewhere. Glad to hear that everyone seems to be safe. Thinking of you all.

We are so glad to hear that y'all made it ok. I've lived thru a bunch of hurricanes, but nothing like Sandy. I'm not sure too many alive have, it's been such a giant "event". I know that you all have the resolute hearts to make it thru, but please take care of yourselves and be as kind to yourselves as you can amid the craziness. I wish we could send you a new house. I hope that aid is making it's way into your area and that very soon you will have a safe place to live again.
    hugs,
    Jo

Speechless. I am happy to hear that our "family" members on QB are safe so far. Hoping more will chime in when they get a chance. Count me in for the SP.

So glad to hear that our Krystyna and her family are safe but so sorry about the destruction. Have had a similar but I fear not as disasterous as this experience. I can tell you first hand it is a very scarey and life changing experience. Please all be praying and sending up good thoughts for our wonderful friend Krystyna and her family.

Hello ladies! We are OK, but I am getting sick from the mold. I am tired. I've posted a bit on my QB blog. There is no help. No Red Cross. No FEMA. Hardly any cell coverage. Truck came in with food but the people from the projects grabbed multiple cases and then it was gone. This is like Katrina. I have never seen anything like it in my life. You wander around looking at strange objects and wonder, what the heck is this. I do think that my house will have to be torn down. I am not thinking clearly and just do not know what we will do next. A piece of a restaurant is in my driveway, some of the boardwalk, bits of houses here and there. And almost no one has a car. They were all destroyed and many went on fire. I have been pooping in a bucket. Oh! We did get some help. Someone put portosans in the streets. So now I can poop in the street. Everything is destroyed. Everything. But we are alive and God is good. Ladybug 1938 and RWQuilts have my cell phone numbers, but please don't call. Just text. Or you can get in touch with JauntyMelissa. OK. Thanks for the prayers.

Krystyna I am praying for you and everyone else that was in Sandys path. I wish I lived closer so I could take you in and you could have shelter. I am so so very sorry for everything you are going thru. I have pm;u experienced a hurricane once and never ever what to go thru anything like that againl We were on Emerald Island in an Rv and I was terrified. May God Bless you and everyone on the east coast.
